We are a Scout Troop based in Austin, Texas. Our mission is to instill the values of leadership, service, and outdoor adventure in young Scouts. Join us on our journey to make a positive impact in the community and the world.
We meet regularly and plan exciting activities like camping trips, community service projects, and leadership development events. Whether you're new to scouting or an experienced member, there's a place for you with us!
We are a scout group located in the Brentwood Neighborhood in North Central Austin. We meet every Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church, located at 6600 Woodrow Avenue. We are a scout-led troop that strives to provide each scout with the opportunity to advance through scout ranks and earn merit badges. Our group camps at least 9 times each year, attends a weeklong summertime merit badge camp, and provides a high adventure excursion for older scouts. Our group encourages personal growth through leadership opportunities, knowledge of practical skills, and service to our community.Troop 49 has been in the Brentwood/Crestview neighborhood for over 60 years. Our troop is dedicated to developing strong character and leadership in young individuals through the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
We are part of the larger Capitol Area Council, which provides us with access to numerous resources, events, and training opportunities to help our Scouts grow. Our leaders are committed volunteers who support Scouts in reaching their full potential in a fun and challenging environment.
We encourage all Scouts to participate and develop their skills in outdoor activities, teamwork, and service. Check back for more event details!
